The customer discovered our website through Google and submitted an online inquiry after becoming particularly interested in our solid wood-plastic composite flooring. After receiving the inquiry, our team quickly contacted the customer to understand his project requirements, preferred product specifications, and concerns about installation and long-term outdoor performance.

Why Solid WPC Decking Is Less Common in Some European Markets

During our communication, the customer explained that hollow WPC decking with round-hole or square-hole structures is relatively common in the European market. Compared with solid WPC flooring, hollow decking generally uses less material, resulting in lower product weight and a more competitive price.

Solid composite decking, on the other hand, contains a higher material volume. It is therefore typically heavier and more expensive than hollow profiles. Because of these factors, solid WPC decking is not always the first choice for customers who are primarily focused on purchasing cost.

However, solid WPC decking also offers important advantages. Its higher material density can provide strong structural performance and a solid feel underfoot, making it attractive for applications where strength, durability, and load-bearing capacity are important considerations.

Solving the Drainage Concern with an M-Shaped Profile

The customer's main concern was drainage. He wanted to know whether solid WPC decking could effectively handle rainwater, especially during wet seasons.

Instead of simply recommending a standard solid profile, our team considered the customer's actual requirements and recommended our M-shaped solid WPC decking.

The M-shaped structure provides a practical drainage path underneath the decking boards. When correctly installed with the appropriate slope and supporting structure, the bottom profile can help guide rainwater away from the deck surface and reduce the accumulation of water underneath the boards.

At the same time, the high-density structure provides a strong and stable profile for outdoor applications. This combination of a solid body and M-shaped bottom design gave the customer a better balance between structural strength and drainage performance.

After confirming the specifications and discussing the required quantity, the customer quickly finalized the order and completed the payment. This efficient purchasing process reflects the importance of providing customers with a product recommendation based on their actual project conditions rather than simply offering the lowest-priced product.
